We are seeking a permanent part time 3 day a week experienced Medical Typist with extensive experience typing Medicolegal reports.

(The role will also include some data entry duties and document preparation on occasions).

An immediate start is required. We are looking for a Typist to join our expanding and dedicated medical transcription team at LA.  We are centrally located in modern offices across Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill.

You must be a self-starter, care about your work, be reliable, flexible, adaptive to change and committed to be a part of our LA team with a strong desire to support our organisational culture and corporate brand. We are a rapidly growing business and you will be seen as a principal point of contact with our clients to provide a high level of service in relation to their transcription requirements.

This unique role on offer is a permanent part time position, 3-4 days a week ( Monday, Wednesday & Friday each week) with the possibility of extending to full time.  Flexible work hours can be negotiated for the right candidate. Previous experience with Genie and other medical practice software programs is highly desirable to fulfil the role.

Strong attention to detail as well as fast and accurate typing skills essential, together with extensive experience with medical typing across a variety of specialties. LA takes pride on having the best reputation within our south east medical community.

Duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Medical typing of general correspondence (using Phillips or Olympus dictation software)
  • Typing of Medicolegal reports
  • Minimum typing speed of 80wpm (skills testing certification will be required)
  • General administrative and secretarial support to the Directors as needed and administrative team.

To be closely considered, you will have:

  • A minimum of 4 years experience in medical reception/secretarial and medical typing roles, ideally working within a specialist practice
  • Exceptional communication, time management and customer service skills
  • Professional, efficient, and friendly manner both over-the-phone and face-to-face
  • High level accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, Genie software (and other medical software programs)
  • The flexibility to work in house or on site as needed.
